Stay in the sun when the sunshine is gone, and you will find that the sunshine lives within you.
From January 2022 we will run two support groups.
Ou groups are open to anyone over 18 living in Gloucestershire who is bereaved by suicide.
Online Zoom Support Group runs on the first Wednesday of the month from 7pm to 9pm.
The group is available to over 18s only and is facilitated by Lorraine Meylor-Warlow who is an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. There are also four Sunflowers volunteers who help run the group; Andy, Wendy, Graham and Di.
Lorraine is available at the end of the session if you need a chat.
She is also available to book for counselling sessions on a 1-2-1 basis (her standard fees apply)
The first hour of the group is based around a specific topic. There are different topics to discuss each month and the members of the group are able to contribute to what topics they would find helpful when we plan the sessions.
At the end of the first hour there is a time to chat with one another and have tea/coffee.
Gloucester Face to Face Support group runs on the second Wednesday of the month (from January 2022) from 7pm-8.30pm
The group is available to over 18s only and is facilitated by Colette Ricaud who is an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. There are also four Sunflowers volunteers who help run the group.
Colette is also available to book for counselling sessions on a 1-2-1 basis (her standard fees apply)
Sunflowers is a supportive community of people; we are all experiencing our own grief and walking at different points in our journeys. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and encouraging one another. As a group we have agreed on certain 'guidelines' to ensure everyone feels safe and supported.
Respecting one another's grief and experience, caring for each other, ensuring all members feel comfortable and being aware of triggering topics; are some of the guidelines we use to do this. The support group is a really friendly and encouranging session to be with others and help you feel less alone in the darkness.

We do not openly provide the venue for the support group to ensure privacy of those attending, therefore please get in touch if you would like to come along.
We do not charge to attend, but if you wish to donate toward delivery of these, you can do so through our fundraising page, where you will find a DONATE button.
