Cruse Bereavement Support

​

Offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and work to enhance society’s care of bereaved people.

​

​Cruse offers face-to-face, telephone, email and website support. They have a Freephone national helpline and local services, and a website (hopeagain.org.uk) specifically for children and young people. Their services are provided by a network of 5,000 trained volunteers and are confidential and free but you are asked to give a donation at the end of your counselling.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF)

​

is a charitable organisation of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other similarly bereaved family members who have suffered the death of a child or children of any age and from any cause.

WAY is the only national charity in the UK for people aged 50 or under when their partner died. It’s a peer-to-peer support group operating with a network of volunteers who have been bereaved at a young age themselves, so they understand exactly what other members are going through.
