​​​Join our Board of Trustees

Are you passionate about supporting those bereaved by suicide and preventing future loss?

​

Sunflowers Suicide Support is seeking dynamic, committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees to help guide and grow our charity.

​

We are particularly looking for people with experience in any of the following:

  • Safeguarding

  • Legal knowledge

  • Governance

  • Lived experience of suicide bereavement

…or a combination of these skills.

Our mission is clear: to reduce the number of people in Gloucestershire who take their own lives and provide compassionate support to those bereaved by suicide.​

 

Today, we offer a range of trauma-informed services, including:

  • Liaison and family support for children, young people, and adults

  • Peer-led groups and befriending programs

  • Walking groups and

  • Creativity Hubs to combat isolation

  • Bereavement events and

  • Grief Recovery courses

  • Suicide prevention training and community talks

 

As a trustee, you’ll have the opportunity to:-

  • Attend trustee meetings and support the CEO and operations team-

  • Help with fundraising, income generation, and building new partnerships-

  • Play a direct role in shaping the future of suicide support in Gloucestershire
